GENDER

Our work in the area of gender has spanned many years and is grounded in a commitment to applying a gender lens across all areas of our programming. We include gender analysis as a cross-cutting principle and work to ensure inclusion, representation, and sensitivity in all activities. Our gender-focused work has included gender-sensitive research, evaluation, training, and communication strategy. We have supported programmes on gender-based violence, masculinities, and improved relationships between genders through SBC (social and behaviour change) and social norms approaches.

  • Strategy: We contribute to the development of communication strategies that integrate gender, GBV prevention, and inclusive engagement approaches.

  • Research: We deliver field-based and desk research that incorporates gender-sensitive analysis and documentation.

  • Evaluation: We conduct evaluations with a focus on gender and its implications for programme effectiveness and accountability.

  • Capacity: We provide training and facilitation on gender in SBC, social norms, and protection contexts.

  • Knowledge Management: We package learning products and strategic documentation to support institutional understanding of gender dynamics.

  • Creative Production: We support the development of communication tools and materials that include a gender lens, voice equity, and inclusive messaging.

Our Experience

We are experienced in delivering gender-responsive research, training, and communication initiatives that address structural inequality and promote positive gender relations. Our work with organisations including UNICEF, AWID, and Winrock International spans contexts of peacebuilding, displacement, health, education, and protection. We can demonstrate the integration of gender into SBC, social norms, and digital strategies across country and regional programmes.
